I have had this over-the-door ironing board cover since I was married 17 years ago. It had the original (ugly) cover that had pretty much mashed flat. I have been searching for a non-ugly one for about 2 years now and didn’t find one, so I decided to make it. I got some Insul-Brite at JoAnn Fabrics and a cute fabric. I wanted to use the fabric for another project also, so I used a scrap piece of coordinating fabric to make it the length I needed. I love the result. You will see a wallet turn up a little later with the remaining fabric.
Great ironing board cover. I’ve been thinking about making one for mine for a while….
I love your new ironing board cover!! Great fabric choices!
Thanks for linking @Creative Itch’s “Sew Cute Tuesday”!
I am about to move and you gave me some great ideas to do to our new laundry room. It is so plain and I would have neevr thought about decorating it with different fabrics. I absoluetly love Joann Fabrics so I can’t wait to go back and use my Joann Fabrics promotional code.
